Undocumented Migrants and the Stockholm Programme: Assuring Access to Rights?
Date de fin: 09/03/2010 - 00:00
The Justice and Home Affairs Section at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) is organizing together with the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM) and EUROCITIES a conference titled ‘Undocumented Migrants and the Stockholm Programme: Assuring Access to Rights?’. This event is open to the public and aims at presenting the results of a research project on “Undocumented migration and the Stockholm Programme: Towards an Area of Freedom, Security and Justice for All?” carried out with the support of Zennström Philanthropies.
The conference will be structured around the presentation of the final report and set of policy recommendations put forward by the JHA Section of CEPS on the status and rights of undocumented migrants in Europe. In light of the implementation of the Stockholm Programme by the Spanish Presidency and of the adoption of the implementation plan by the Commission, this event aims at opening up the debate on the status and rights of undocumented migrants in the EU among policy makers, practitioners, civil society and social partners.
