Balkans, sur les routes des migrants (1/6) : À Lojane, au centre des trafics

Le village de Lojane, collé à la frontière entre la Macédoine et la Serbie, occupe depuis deux ans une position centrale sur la longue route menant vers l’espace Schengen. Ici, les migrants arrivent de Grèce. La plupart tentent de passer en Serbie, mais certains choisissent une « route alternative » par le Kosovo et le Monténégro. Cet été, chaque soir, plusieurs centaines de nouveaux venus arrivaient dans la « jungle » de Lojane.

Balkans: Roma pay the price of visa liberalisation, NGO survey says

The visa liberalization with the EU has resulted in arbitrary border controls and travel bans in the countries of the so-called Western Balkans. This is the result of a comparative survey on the measures which have been taken by countries of the region in reaction to EU pressures over an increase in the number of asylum seekers from these countries.

December 18 is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
