News about the PGA in Mexico

In close collaboration with partners within International and Mexican Working Groups, MRI is honored once again to co-organize the People's Global Action on Migration, Development and Human Rights (PGA) -- an independent civil society response and alternative space which seeks to foster more inclusive, transparent and autonomous forms of participation from key sectors of civil society, in particular migrant organizations, trade unions, human rights advocates, trade and development networks, progressive academia, media etc.

The 2010 PGA will take place in Mexico City from 2 - 5 November, and builds upon previous civil society parallel events co-organized by MRI for the 2006 United Nations High Level Dialogue on Migration and Development in New York, and the previous GFMDs from 2007 - 2009 in Brussels, Manila and Athens.  (If you have been accepted as a participant to the Civil Society Days (CSD) of the GFMD, the organizers of the CSD this year have made available the option for you to stop in Mexico City for the PGA on 2 - 5 November on your way to the CSD, so please strongly consider this great opportunity and inform the CSD organizers of your intention.)
