Membership Criteria
Groups and associations that fulfill the following criteria and that are interested in the IPMWC can apply to the Secretariat to become member.
IPMWC Membership Criteria:
- To be a non-governemental / a civil society organisation.
- To agree with the aims of the IPMWC and commit to work towards achieving them.
- To support the universal ratification and the effective implementation of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.
- To work on the promotion and the protection of the human rights of migrant workers and/or members of their families, through the United Nations human rights system or any other relevant mechanisms.
NGOs applying for membership should provide their latest annual report; relevant publications, newsletters, and brochures that will support their application and a completed application form to:

Each membership application will be submitted to all IPMWC members for comments. The IPMWC Secretariat may ask the NGO for additional information. The final decision about membership is taken by the IPMWC Committee during one of its meetings. Applicants are being kept informed throughout the application process.
