Handing over the petition in Budapest
Today at 15.00 a small delegation of Menedék - the Hungarian Association for Migrants, a Hungarian civil society responsible for the Hungarian campaign, delivered 6000 signatures and an Open Letter to the office of the Hungarian Ministry of Interior Affairs. The delegation, consisting of Dr Nagy Boldizsár, Associate Professor of Public International Law at Central European and at Eötvös Lóránd University and Melegh Attila, Senior Research Fellow.at the Demographic Research Institute and Assistant Professor at Corvinus University had a valuable discussion with Simonné Dr. Berta Krisztina, deputy state secretary for European and international affairs about the European petition campaign of the UN Migrant Workers Convention, who promised to look into the issue.
