On 1st May Migrant Domestic Workers in Europe Advance Campaign for ILO Convention on Domestic Work
Amsterdam – Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) from Asia, Latin America, Africa as well as from Europe are joining with Trade Unions in several cities around the world today to highlight their demand for a rights based ILO Domestic Work Convention. In Asia, May Day 2010 is being celebrated as Asian Domestic Workers´ Day. In Europe, members of the RESPECT network in Europe have launched their initiatives in Athens, Dublin, London and Amsterdam.
